Preparing for Your Interview

We’ve created this guide to help you navigate the interview process at AppFolio. Here, you’ll find detailed information on what to expect, how to prepare, and tips for success. Our goal is to ensure you feel confident and well-prepared as you approach your interviews.

The Interview Team

Interview Process

Application & Resume Review

Apply for roles that match your interests and qualifications. Our team will review your resume—usually within a few weeks—and email you with an update.

Recruiter Interview

If you're a potential fit, you'll get an email to schedule a call with the Recruiter. They'll discuss your background and career goals, and you can ask questions about the role and company.

Skills-based Assessment

For some roles, you may be asked to complete a relevant assessment—such as a take-home project or coding task. This would be assigned after your Recruiter Interview.

Team Interviews

In the final stage, you'll meet with several team members for in-depth interviews focused on your expertise. These may be held onsite at an Office Hub or virtually via Zoom.

Decision

Once all interviews have concluded, you’ll hear from us on our final decision within a couple of weeks.
